School Leadership Development

Each year, every school in America, formally or informally, identifies factors to maintain or improve student achievement. Harvard scholar Richard Elmore concluded, “Knowing the right thing to do is the central problem of school improvement. Holding schools accountable for their performance depends on having people (leaders) in schools with the knowledge, skill and judgment to make the improvements that will increase student performance.”

The Clarion Council will support leadership development to ensure that school-based leaders are doing the “right work.” Seminars and training for administrative leaders, future professional staff leaders, student leaders and parent leaders will instruct them on research-based, proven factors and how to work smarter, not harder.
